Quality Assurance & Clinical Guidelines

In 1995, the KNGF implemented a quality policy, which includes evidence-based guidelines.

The Netherlands sets the international quality standard in the field of physical therapy, particularly in the development of guidelines. These guidelines have been translated into English and may be downloaded: www.kngfrichtlijnen.nl

The KNGF introduced a Central Quality Register for Physical Therapy. In order to be accepted, the physical therapist must comply with standards regarding level of expertise, working experience, liaison with colleagues and ability to work within our guidelines, which also cover the handling of complaints and disciplinary law.
